First Scarf

Materials Used:
Scarf: 1 skein light blue #4 yarn (soft) - try Red Heart With Love #4 yarn in Bluebell
Fringe: Red Heart Super Saver #4 yarn in Windsor Blue
Hook size G (4.5mm)

Patterns:
Scarf: no pattern used

Changes Made to Pattern:
Fringe – I didn’t crochet around the edges as they did in the fringe instructions, but added the fringe directly to the edges of my work

Alternative Pattern Changes:
Instead of the zig-zag edge I used in my scarf, you can make your edges straight
Try using a heavier gauge yarn, such as #5 bulky weight yarn

Similar Pattern:
Single crochet scarf

Notes:
This project is great if you have just started to crochet.  I wish I knew the brand of the light blue yarn I used for this project, but it was a gift.  I do know it was a soft yarn, so I would recommend using Red Heart With Love yarn in light blue for this project.  I worked without a pattern, but the one listed above is very similar to what I did.
