"Potato Chip" Ruffle Scarf

Materials Used:
Handmade yarn made from blue and green fibers (bought at a consignment store)
Hook size J (6.5mm)

Pattern:
"Potato Chip" ruffle scarf

Changes Made to Pattern:
I used a homemade yarn instead of a #4 yarn as in the pattern.  The yarn I used was more similar to a #5 bulky yarn.  I was only able to complete 3 rows of the scarf because of the amount of yarn I had.

Alternative Pattern Changes:
This scarf would be very pretty using Lion Brand's Homespun yarn.  You can also make your own yarn by combining different yarns or using fibers.  (This is helpful if you have yarn in one weight but need a heavier weight for your project).

Similar Patterns:

Notes:
If you decide to use a thicker yarn for this pattern, it might be better to go up a hook size (use a K size instead of a J).
