I found a really amazing online tool called KnitPro 2.0, which lets you upload any jpg, gif, or png image from your computer, and converts it into a crochet graph (or knit, needlepoint, or cross stitch). You can also get the grid (shown above) in larger sizes, so it would be great for afghans, sweaters, scarves, you name it.
This tool is so amazing because I could not find the Aperture logo (above) in crochet or in grid form, so I tried to wing it (without success). Then I came across this tool and my problem is solved. You may be seeing this logo in the future: I'm making my boyfriend a laptop cozy and may include this, too. I've never used a grid before, so we'll see how that goes. I'm always up for learning new techniques.
